Storing Boat Outside What I Think Is Fiberglass Canoe, Cracked Up, Everywhere, Skim Coat?

What i think is fiberglass canoe, cracked up, everywhere, skim coat? - storing boat outside

Ok, I have this old boat Yachts of Tampa, did I find any information on.
Moreover, at his age. but it seems he may have stored outside under the Florida sun for about 15 years, all cracked. (outside of the boat)
like a car with a 5 year, $ 100 painting of hay, maybe your painting?
anyway, painted, all indexed, or whatever. I begin this project now, as I knew they were there, but wouldnt say he finds the holes, but basically Goudge, not all the way, but the exposure to fiberglass.
I thin all before primeing, painting, waterproofing.
How would these holes? should get the patch glass fibers, or fill them with putty or fiberglass resin (Bondo to understand, including marine) Fiberglass repairs and continue on my merry way?

Looks like you're talking about the class of "freeze cracking and discoloration.

Fill the holes with epoxy putty and furrows. Abundance of sand again gelcoat. Mastic, then use the next start. This should help in the cracks, and help fill them. Then, two or three upper layers.

Try to avoid scanning the surface of the case. Sounds like a great idea for baby smooth again, but all that grinding Fill surplus will be hell. Filling and sanding to maintain fairness is an art. The motto of the filling, less is more ... There are many boat project to be sold or given to postal / ready to paint the picture ...

If it's a freebie, try to lose the low level of investment.

It seems that someone has a layer of clear coat on the automotive jellcoat set. make it easier for you. Grinding to remove the paint, filling holes or chipped areas with filling, then polish with a pad and to restore the original color back.
